OneSpace.net 2006 brings you easier ways to access data and share multiple applications.
New in OneSpace.net 2006 meeting center:
A revised Application Sharing panel and options: share multiple applications, capture screenshots.
Improved application sharing behavior and communication control.
A project selection dialog for meeting center actions.
New in OneSpace.net 2006 project workspace:
Choose a relative dates in Rules.
Use the Upload/Download manager to help with a slow connection or large files.
Configure connections to external systems in project workspace rather than in the administrator interface.
Custom role change: Any member of a project can see the user names of all other members of a project.
Replace a deleted user with another user who will own the accounts, projects, and tasks of the deleted user.
The Application Sharing panel is organized so that you can share one or multiple applications running on your system. The panel shows which application(s) you are sharing. From here, you can
Share multiple selected applications.
Tune the control to reduce delay in viewing.
Capture a screenshot of the shared application:
Use the new button in the Application Sharing UI panel.
Right-click the meeting center icon in the system tray.
Use these tips in the Application Selection menu:
Double-click an application to start sharing the application.
Double-click an application to bring the corresponding window to the front.
To share several applications at the same time, press Shift and select more than one application.
After sharing one application, double-click another application to share it too.
Right-click an application to stop sharing it. If you are sharing one application only, right-click to stop application sharing altogether.
When you choose an action such as Schedule Meeting, Start Meeting, Invite Participants, New Task, or New Decision with All Projects selected from the Project Context panel, a project selection dialog appears. Choose a project from which to work.
Create a rule and specify a date that is relative to the start date instead of specifying a specific calendar date. Relative dates make it easier to track and manage your rules when start dates change.
Work with files up to 100 MB in size when you use the Upload/Download Manager in project workspace.
Define external systems easily from project workspace instead of from the administrator's page. The account manager
Creates the connection to the external system.
Create multiple queries with attributes for each external system.
Application sharing now has a flow control that improves the way the system behaves, controls communications, and decreases viewer delay.
Custom role change. Any member of a project will be able to see the user names of other members within the same project. Users in one project still cannot see the users in any other project. If you were using this configuration setting for a custom-role, you may need to change your processes to utilize multiple projects to hide the names of users from one another.
Administrators: Now when you delete a user, you must replace the user with someone else. This new member will replace the deleted user in projects and envelopes, will own the deleted user's tasks, projects, or accounts.
See more with the Structure Browser:
Show details: Toggle a detailed view on and off.
Search: Find and display items that meet specific criteria.
Filter: Display only relevant data.
Export XVL files: Precise (*.xv3) and Visual (*.xv2). XVL is a highly compressed 3D file format that can be viewed in a web browser.
Load lightweight models created from Model Manager. A lightweight model is a graphical representation of a 3D model without the geometry. The lightweight model uses less memory and loads faster than the full model.
View, activate, and capture configurations. A configuration offers an alternate view of your assembly that you can quickly turn on and off. Use configurations to visualize your assemblies with parts moved to locations different from their normal positions.
Analyze parts that clash using new clash parameters. Clash analysis is an extension of the clash check function and creates permanent data.
